A very quick update on an earlier
post regarding what UNESCO's role is, and should be, in protecting ancient manuscripts in Timbuktu, Mali from the effects of the internal conflict. Voice of America
reports (thanks Gary Nurkin) that "UNESCO sent a mission to Mali's capital, Bamako, on Thursday to look into the situation further."
